So f-ing busy with school, working and reading half of my sister's romance novel collection. At least I have one project finish and that's with my Watercolor I class. It kinda pays to stay after and continue working on my projects.

Search me into why the f I'm reading my sister's romance novel collection, I'm like to read science fiction and anything action/thriller type.

I'm starting to become a fan of Linda Howard's works, she throws the romance on top of the thriller/spense stuff that I love so much. I'm currently reading "Dying to Please" and will start on "Strangers in the Night" soon.

Also, a redesign for the site isn't going to happen anytime soon for both the club and the site. Once school and getting my driver's permit is out of the way. I'm going to focus on redesigning my site and making it more professional to attract more clients and hopefully get some more cash in my pockets. This semester has tested my ablity to penny push and salvage stuff around the house for supplies. I can thank my mother for teaching me that skill.

I don't have the means to get to Blick's in downtown San Diego and going there is a once a semester type of thing where I load up on supplies. In case I run out of a certain type of paint or need paper, I head to either Michael's or Aaron Brothers.

Thank you Aaron Brothers and Michael's for your 40% and 50% off coupons and other specials.

I need a shower and sleep, I have another busy day ahead of me. Night and on the fly then.

P.S. iced_puffy if you are reading this entry please either reply to this message or e-mail me. I head about the two typhoons that hit the Philippines recently and it's really bad from what I have heard from some people. I just wanted to know if you are alright. See ya then.
This gives me more proof that shit really does happen when you least expected and I was a fan of the English dub on Adult Swim too...

http://www.animenewsnetwork.com/news/2009-09-20/body-identified-as-crayon-shin-chan-yoshito-usui

In other news, I haven't been around online a lot because of class. Fuck, this semester of art classes has made me real close in putting a gun to my head. Watercolor I isn't as bad because the instructor is really laid back, but Illustration I is a bitch and it involves painting and painting is not something I'm really good at. At least the instructor for that is kinda laid back, but still fuck that class is a bitch... I have already made myself ill once this semester with the crazy schedule I have for this semester. I need to start taking more vitamin C and multivitamins and also drink more water and tea than I normally do. Catching a cold in the summer suck ass because drinking tea makes me sweat even more...

At this point, I'm so looking forward to Pacific Media Expo in November. I need to get away from it all to clear my head and no playing an old school RPG isn't going to cut it anymore...sigh...

I need to get back to painting, my first major project for Illustration I is due this Tuesday at 11:15 am PST. On the fly then.

Cheese's cements my decision not to have children. I would make one lousy mother and I fear that I may become one of those crazy soccer moms... I despise those kinds of people, fuck even my own mother wasn't like that.

I seriously need a drink at the moment, at least the weather is slightly cooler. But not by a long shot, I need to get back to work. On the fly then.

Comic Con International: San Diego 2009 and with bronchitis once again...yeah...

I'm sick...again... I don't know where I caught this bough of bronchitis and damn. It equals another trip to the clinic and another $45 down the drain and antibiotics and clinic fees...fuck... I need to get a TB skin test ASAP, this might be something bigger than I though, it's only $8 and I can have the results in a few days. At least I got paid and I'm debt free for now. I just need to see if the results of the FASFA came in or not.

Other than that, I finally beat "Chrono Trigger" today. Good lord that game was addictive as crack cocaine! I can understand why that game is on a lot of people's top ten RPG lists of all time. Hell, I need to make a top ten list of my favorite RPGs. I might as well do it and follow ScrewAttack.com's policy of only having one game per franchise rule in effect. So here we go:

10. Chrono Trigger (SNES, PS1, and DS): I finally got around to playing this game. Like I said earlier, this game was addictive as crack cocaine! I only played the PS1 port of the game and minus the load times it was a fun game to play. I love the battle system and the active time battle option as well. The only thing that I didn't like was its difficulty, it was too damn easy. Other than that, it was pretty sweet game.

9. Skies of Arcadia: Legends (Gamecube, Dreamcast): I borrowed this game from a friend and I need to buy this game sooner or later. Skies of Arcadia was a pretty sweet RPG. You got kick ass battle cinematics, innovate battle system and fighting battles via airships, epic! Too bad they didn't make a sequel to this game.

8. Kingdom Hearts II (PS2): While I could have gone with the first game because of the wow factor (Disney and SQUARE WTF?!). The in-game battle system was a major step up from the first game. With the ability to bust out some crazy moves during certain points of the game with the press of a button and the in-game shooter levels with the Gummi Ships improved. I wonder what KH3 will have to do to top KH2!

7. Parasite Eve (PS1): Based on the novel of the same name, that I never had the chance to read until now (thank you VERTICAL for releasing the novel in English!). PE was a breath of fresh air after FFVII came and went. You got the choice of customing weapons to make any monster your bicth and one hell of a female villan. Then you got one kick ass soundtrack and remix soundtrack (that I both own and listen to sometimes). Too bad the sequel was left something to be desired. I'm praying that the thrid game will be better.

6. Super Mario RPG: The Legend of the Seven Stars (SNES): Another staple of my childhood, it was a Mario game in the form of an RPG. The battle system was to me standard RPG stuff, it was at one point I was so good at this game that I was able to dodge a ton of "instant kill" attacks with the press of a button. I wish there was a sequel to this game (and no Paper Mario doesn't count)...

5. Wild ARMS 4 (PS2): I would have picked another WA title from the series, but it was WA4 that I like a lot. The battle system was a departure from the previous titles with using an HEX layout to move your characters around and also placing status elements/ailments as well. It was the difficulty level that keep me coming back for more. I like hard mode, a lot.

4. Mega Man X Command Mission (PS2): Yes the Lady Maverick81 is a Mega Man (hell it's in my name). What I liked most about CM was that the graphic where awesome and the battle system and the ability to switch party members in mid battle was really handy and Cinnamon's healing special saved my ass on more than one occasion.

3. Final Fantasy IX (PS1): I know that I'm going to get a lot of heat for this. But with FFIX, it was the story that left a huge impact on me. I have noticed that each Final Fantasy game has a theme. In this one it was that nothing can live forever and how precious life really is. While the battle system was kick ass, it was the theme that made it more memorable for me. Now I need to get this game back from my sister's place...

2. Shadow Hearts: From the New World (PS2): Another game that I know that I'm going to get a lot of heat for. While Yuri Hyuga is bad ass and cute to boot. It was the battle system that I liked most about the game, it was a major step up for the series. The ability to bust of double and double combo attacks and making any enemy your bitch can bring pure satisfaction to almost any gamer (at least to me). Also, I found myself laughing out more in this game than in the second one. It seems revenge wasn't the only thing going for the main cast... Now if only they would include this battle system in the fourth one and continue the story where the second one left off would be nice.

1. Xenogears (PS1): Ah religion at it's finest, not! Xenogears gave gamers the ablity to punch in button commands that would lead to using a special attack was awesome. It sold me on the game was the mecha to mecha combat. Powering up your ablity and laying the smack down on anything was sweet. And also, being forced to attend Saturday religion classes made me understand some parts of the game involing religion. Hell, it's not everyday that one of the supporting cast recites something close to the Apostle's and Nicene creed in a RPG. Another thing I liked about this RPG was the soundtrack, it's awesome to listen to. The remix soundtrack is amasing!

Games that didn't make it on the list but deserve an honorable mention: Sword of Mana (GBA), Star Ocean: The Second Story (PS1), SAGA Frontier (PS1) Legaia: Duel Saga (PS2) and Castlevaina: Symphony of the Night (PS1, PSP).
What do you think? Tell me about it! That's it for now, on the fly.
<lj:music>Aurora - Ordinary World</lj:music>

Or something like that...

I know I'm rather late into writing this blog, but I kinda got caught up into both playing finally "Shadow Hearts: Covenant" and "Shadow Hearts: From the New World". I'm currently still playing the latter and I must say, with all of the bitching and moaning that SH3 had in the reviews department. I'm having a hoot playing this game. They are more times that I found myself laughing out loud or chucking to myself than I was playing SH2. Yeah, I know that SH3 is rather lighthearted and tongue in cheek in all.

Kinda reminds me of "Wild ARMS 4", which is a rather excellent game to play, I must say. I demand that you go play that one!

I got "Kingdom Hearts: ReChain of Memories" on PSX2, I haven't even touched that game (yeah I know, shame on me). But SH3 is just too damn good to put down.

I wanna play "Chaos Wars" on PSP, from the screen shots that I saw it's kinda reminds me of "Final Fantasy Tactics" on PS1. The real reason that I want to play this game 'cause it has Yuri and Alice as playable characters. I also heard that the English VAs in that game are god awful... If they have a option in changing the language settings, please tell me so I don't have to hack this game in saving my ears and sanity. The VAs in SH2 and SH3 are alright adds to humor in some situtations, I tend to stick to the original Japanese VAs even with watching anime.

Blame the anime club that I go to, with their strict policy of only watching anime subtitled.

I rather like Yuri's English VA in SH2 than his Japanese VA, it seems that he had more emotion in his voice.

I need to go to bed, I have alot of stuff that I need to get done before I go to work tomorrow at 4pm. Also reading Yuri X Alice fan fics online isn't helping me into getting me to sleep as well, it's makes me all the more damn hyper...

I also, randomly discovered that a good theme for those two is the "Ordinary World" by Aurora. I know that the song was originally written by Duran Duran, but I like Aurora's version better. It's more upbeat to me.

<lj-embed id="1" />

I like the ones by iced_puffy over at FanFiction.net, if I can only get a hold of the author and tell them that I have a SH doujin that I randomly found online; that I know that they might like.

On a random note, my 26th birthday is next week. I really want Yuri's necklace to wear when I go to work. I don't know why, it's just looks really cool. Than again, I want his trench coat from the first SH game and the black leather cross jacket from the second one as well. I have a thing for wearing stuff like that. Other than that, on the fly then.
Cheese's is good for something... Other than that, I'm making revisions to the script for "Resident Evil: Coexistence". I might be able to update my site one more time before I leave for the convention. Also, Jamie if you are reading this entry. Please e-mail me and tell me where do you want to go for lunch when you arrive in town so we can catch up on old times. That's all for now then. On the fly.

I'm back fro AX08 so here's my full report:

Wednesday
I got up early and waited for Ricardo to pick me up. That didn't happen and I headed for his hour and discovered that his parents were moving and rather in a hurry. So I was forced to help out and told him that I needed to get to LA and fast. This is because the hotel was in my name and my roommate were going to be there soon and want to drop there stuff in the hotel room. so I hitched a ride with my long time best friend Jimmy and made it to the hotel in one piece. I checked in dropped my stuff and headed for the convention center and picked up my pass. I liked picking up my pass this time because it took only less than five minutes! So after I got my badge and did managed to get to Ricardo's and wandered around the convention center, I stuck my head in the arcade and played a few games. I also ran into my good friend Anthony and talked to him for a while. Some time later, I meet up with Jimmy and his boyfriend Barry for dinner and some pizza place. It was really good pizza and a whole lot better than the pizza that is served at my work. After dinner I went back to my hotel room, took a shower and crashed for the rest of the night. Also the thing with Ricardo, is going to be a recurring problem for a while to come....

Thursday
I got up early, ate the free breakfast that the hotel offered which was cereal and toast. It wasn't bad, I wish they they had a better selection of cereal other than corn flakes. I took a quick shower and got dressed and then I called Ricardo. I discovered that his mother is a crazy bitch and forced Ricardo to be his personal slave for the move and was not able to make it to AX this year. At times like this: I wish that I did have a Death Note and used it on her! So for the rest of the day, I worked part time at a booth and got some free mangas and wandered around the convention center. I also learned once again that food was super expensive in the convention center and that I should never buy anything from them. I think I coughed up about $10 on a rather good pizza and a can of soda. Once again I met up with Jimmy and Barry and had dinner at California Pizza Kitchen, damn good pizza I must day. After dinner we did managed to get into the AMV contest and of course was blown away from the entires, Jimmy and Barry on the other hand didn't know a lot of the titles and I had to tell them what they were, those two left halfway. So after the contest, I headed back to my hotel room took another shower and went to bed.

Friday
I overslept and missed out on the free breakfast, so I headed for Denny's down the street and pig out on steak and cheesecake. I also went to this super cool convenience store called Famima! and got some Pocky and Rumune Soda. So once again, I worked at the same booth as I did yesterday and got more free stuff. So I lingered around and after the dealer's room closed and got some dinner at some local cafe. Headed back and went to the June/801 Media Yaoi Panel and managed to win a autograph postcard and somehow lost it in my luggage (grrr). After the panel I went back to the hotel room, took another shower and crashed once again for the night.

Saturday
Got up, got dressed and I ate at Denny's and wandered around the entire convention center once again. The best deal for me was getting a four volume manga series for about $12. I wanted to go to Masquerade but tickets were sold out and instead attend the other panel called "The Last Comic Standing", never had I laughed that hard at anything before. I left during intermission and went back to my hotel room and crashed once again for the night.

Sunday
I packed up my stuff and left it in the manager's office and went to the convention center. I blew the remainder of my money on really cheap deals and left for home after the dealer's room closed. So I headed home and for once it was a smooth ride going to and from. So I got home like around seven and unpacked. I took a shower and went to bed.

So that ends my adventures at Anime Expo 2008. Down below is list of what I got.

Old Boy Vols 5 - 8

Ikebukuro West Gate Park Vols 1 - 4

Transparent Vol 1

Lava Punch Vols 1 - 2

Honey and Clover Vol 2

Figure17 Vol 2

Shin Megami Tensei: Khan Vol 1

Basara Vol 3

The Birthday

Spiral

The Worlds of Amano

Intron Deposit 4

Yuki Terai TOKYO LABYRINTH

Virtual Beauties 2020

Several book markers

Several Key chains

Final Fantasy VII: Dirge of Cerberus cell phone charm

I made out with quite a haul not bad for only having $200 in cash and I used that cash on food as well. I hope that Ricardo will be able to come with me to Comic Con later on this month. Overall I had a great time, even though I was by myself... Until then. On the fly!

Four years, I finally get to read the ending to one of my favorite yaoi mangas. It's called "Under Grand Hotel" by Mika Sadahiro. I remember posting an entry about it a while back. Anyways I was rather pleased with the ending and I demand you to read it! You download it via IRC at Nakama.

I roughly have little more than a month to get 10 drawings and a entry done for Anime Expo. So, I'll be rather busy for a while. I need to take some photos of some of my art projects that I did in my Drawing and Composition II class. Other than that, on the fly then.
